We focus on both the prevention and treatment of injuries related to physical activity. Common injuries treated by sports medicine doctors include overuse injuries, which develop gradually from repetitive stress on muscles, joints, tendons, or bones. These injuries can occur during sports, at work, or through everyday activities.

Yes. We don’t have x-ray available. If you know you have a broken bone, documented in an x-ray, please bring a copy of the x-ray. Most broken bones (fractures) just need immobilization, not surgery!
At Kauai, we use regenerative medicine to treat a range of conditions, including osteoarthritis of the major joints (knee, shoulder, ankle, hip, and elbow), chronic tendinitis, meniscus tears, rotator cuff injuries, and partial tendon tears.
Most regenerative medicine treatments involve minimally invasive procedures, which may cause some discomfort during and after the treatment. However, we use local anesthesia to minimize any pain during the procedure. Post-treatment discomfort is usually mild and can be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers.
